Toffee Nut Syrup Recipe

Ingredients:

1 Cup Filtered Water
2 Cups Brown Sugar
2/3 Cup Toffee Bits (ones without chocolate coating)

Kitchen Items Needed:

Medium saucepan
Whisk
Metal strainer or cheese cloth
Funnel
Mason jar or syrup bottle

Instructions:

Step 1

Add all the ingredients to your saucepan and heat over a low to medium heat. Stir frequently.
Bring to a simmer and let bubble for 5 minutes, stirring frequently.

Step 2

Remove the saucepan from the heat and let it cool for about 20 minutes. Once the mixture has cooled slightly strain the mixture into a container.

– Note: There will be a small oil sediment on top of the syrup. If this is undesired, scrape this layer off once it has cooled. I recommend doing this before placing it into a syrup bottle
